EMDR and Art Therapy in Brighton and Hove

Welcome and thank you for visiting my website. I am sorry if you
or someone you care for is finding life difficult at the moment.
Choosing a therapist can be a daunting task, but I aim to make this as straightforward as possible by clearly explaining my approach to EMDR or art psychotherapy, how therapy can improve mental health and what it involves. I hope that the What is EMDR? and What is art therapy? sections answer any questions you may have.
I am an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist and an art psychotherapist working in Brighton and Hove. I hold a Masters degree in Art Psychotherapy from The University of Roehampton. I am accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a member of the BACP, of The British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT), and I am Europe Accredited member of EMDR UK

I offer both short and long-term therapy to adults and young people age 16+, working with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, attachment, trauma, self-harm, sexual, emotional and physical abuse. I also work using EMDR on single incident traumas such as accidents, acts of terrorism and medical traumas.
I have worked in the NHS and for numerous mental health charities across London and the South East. My experience includes Brighton and Hove CAMHS, Westminster MIND and Sussex NHS partnership and FosterCareUK. Post-qualification I worked for Brighton-based charity for Young Oasis for three years, with children affected by familial substance misuse. Here I developed the Young Women's Therapy service, serving vulnerable 18-25 year olds. I have ten years’ experience working therapeutically with adolescents and adults. I currently work in private practice on Church Road in Hove.
